If grub does not display your splash images

Posted by coldtobi | 26 Apr, 2007, 16:24

I just tried to get splashimages working...

I permanently got "cannot load splash image", though the splashimage path was correct and existing... Of course, the picture was well formated (640x480, 14 colors).

Well this is the fault I made:

I stated in my /boot/grub/menu.lst

splashimage=(hd0,2)/boot/splash.xpm.gz

 instead of:

           splashimage=/boot/splash.xpm.gz
