CSS Basics [german]
Posted by coldtobi | 5 Jul, 2007, 21:39Für alle die sich mal CSS einarbeiten wollen, das CSS Float Zeugs aber nicht richtig verstanden haben... Ja, ich gebs zu, wenn ich einmal im halben Jahr wieder CSSe, dann weiss ich auch nicht immer so genau, wie es denn genau gegangen ist.
Und im Augenblick ist es halt wieder soweit, denn ich möchte doch meinem Blog mal einen persönlicheren Touch geben. Und dass soll natürlich mit Style gemacht werden.

Perpetuum Mobile Demonstration delayed....

The impatient Phisher

Today one mail slipped through spamassassin. However, my experienced eye immediatly discovered that the mail is -- again -- some silly phishing attempt....
Sometimes, I *really* think how stupid the spammers/phishers are. First, this is not my name (a simple parsing of the email address would usually give better results), then the date of the reception, the missing umlauts, etc... There is nothing right in this spam.
Date received:
" I transfered the money on July 4th. Where's my merchandize?"

The Homepage Next Door

Just before, I checked my server logs. First, I thought: Nothing special at all, but then this reference in the log looked interesting:
myipneighbors.com is a service to do a reverse DNS lookup. Basically you can learn, how is living next door, next server, (mmmh, ya,) next home-dir.
I think, I gonna visit my neighbours on the weekend. Hopefully, they're home.

Microsofts new (mobile) Internet Explorer

Microsoft has a project called "Deepfish". Deepfish is a browser for Windows Mobile devices, designed especially for the need of the bandwidth constrained PDA devices. No need to say, only Windows devices will bes supported.
The trick is, that the content is rendered on the server and then transported to the client, the smart phone. There the user can select or zoom into the sites, and get the same browsing experience as on the desktop.

Zusatzstoffe (E-Nummern) in Lebensmittel
Posted by coldtobi | 16 Jun, 2007, 08:26Wenn man sich die Zutatenlisten heutiger Lebensmittel man genauer ansieht, fällt vor allem eines auf: Kaum ein Lebensmittel heutzutage beinhaltet sie nicht: Lebensmittel-Zusatzstoffe.
Als Laie kann man kaum was dazu sagen, und schon wegen diverser kursierender schon fast panik verbreitenden Listen (als Kind hatten auch wir eine am Kühlschrank) hatte man doch immer ein komisches Gefühl bei solchen Ellenlangen Listen.
Aber im Zeitalter der globalen Vernetzung (aka Internet), kann man sich auch hier vorragend informieren:
